Hi
Could do with a bit of help. I’m trying to Swap over program. As you can see from photo old one has only 5 wires in and hive has 6 . Any help will be appreciated

Hive should be exactly same wiring as current one.

Where is a photo of the Hive having 6 wires in it? Or are you thinking it has to have 6?

Why does Hive have 6 wires?

Worth noting that using the Earth core as a Live is now a direct contravention of electrical regulations, even if you sleeve/mark it as Live

AS the others Hive never requires 6 wires in any installation unless you also have air conditioning and want to use the hive to control that also

The existing backplate in the photo you posted has 6 terminals. Hive also has exactly the same 6 terminals. [N,L,1,2,3,4]

The heating system you are controlling though only needs 5 wires connecting, so terminal 2 is unused with the existing programmer, and terminal 2 will also be unused with the Hive.

Note: you will need the Dual Channel Version of Hive.
