Loss of Colour and Texture in Farcry

I have had to change my graphics card from an nVidia 8800GTX to an nVidia 9800GT. When playing Farcry some of the graphics disappear. Water becomes white or off white with no texture and some of the graphics white-out as well. Is this a problem with the driver or is the 9800GT not powerful enough to run Farcry properly?

Looking at this review, you have no chance of running Farcry on the nVidia 9800GT or even the 8800.

Thanks for that Dave. My other card was an 8800GTX which did play Farcry okay. The replacement card is the 9800GT which they talk about in the custompc review.

I should be getting the 8800GTX card replaced under warranty.

Played really nice with my 8800GTX.

Boring game though, takes far too long to get to and from missions

Played Farcry when it came out years ago - your graphics card is well capable of running that game well. The game is buggy - get used to it or don't play it - it's that simple.
I'm assuming you aren't talking about Farcry 2 here - tried that on PS3 and it's rubbish.
