I tried to close stopcock by turning it back and forth, I finally managed to almost close it, water was dripping from kitchen sink tap. I thought that is good enough.
When I opened tap upstairs, there was loud noise coming from stopcock that was scary. I opened the stopcock and did not try to close it again.
Can I try to close stop cock again? or is that broken and need replacing, in which case I have to call a plumber.
