Help

I have installed an 8 bulb, 10 Watt, 12 Volt pendant light onto a 6amp lighting circuit. The lighting circuit has no more than 650watts total load. The light itself has a 1amp fuse in the live wiring.
Each time I connect it up it works for a short period but after a few times of turning on and off with other lights on the circuit (normal use) the fuse blows. I have replaced the fuse on many occasions and even stuck a 5amp plug on it to test, again the fuse goes after a short time.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

Faulty unit?

80W is nowhere near the limit for a 1A fuse.

Use your multimeter to measure the current that it's drawing.

Thanks - I will have a go.
