I have 4 x 50w 12v lights in my bathroom running off four seperate tranformers which was part of a total house rewire two years ago, two of the lights turn on and off at random, the other two are fine. have checked that the tranformers are not over heating and cutting out, have tried replacing the ceramic bulb holders as recommended by local electrical shop, any ideas?

when you say at random i take it you mean at random when yo have turned them on, not coming on at random when the others are off?

I would still suspect the transformers

why not swap two over i.e a known ok one with a "suspect " one see if the fault follows

yes, it's just when the power is on. i'll try swaping them over, but it seems odd that two should go at the same time, and surely the life expectancy off a transformer should be longer than two years?

all four are being used at the same time, so why have only two gone? could it be anything th do with the pull cord switch?
