LSF Cable

I have just bought some LSF cable. to re-cable a light fitting across a barge board. The reason I bought it is because it was white and I won't have to re-paint my barge board.

It seems to be very rigid. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it is generally used for?

LSF is short for Low Smoke and Fume.It is used in installations where the production of noxious gases is prohibited if the cable were to be burned in a fire (as would be produced by standard pvc/pvc
