There must of been 100s if not 1,000s of similar or even worse tweets - did they all go to prison or was it just a woman who was married to a conservative councillor.

I have wondered about that as well. Looking at the judgment, some of the other things she posted are not much different to what some post on here.

Exactly. This is about two rolls of the dice. She pleaded guilty hoping for a light sentence and lost and he took a gamble and got a perverse jury verdict.

Justice is for his crimes to be tried again on a different charge and for a reasonable defence of belief giving cases like hers some mitigation.
