It says "white person" in it, it's a dig at a white person.
It should be simple. It started as a bit of fun about right wingers foaming at the mouth and going red. I have a right wing acquaintance who just gets so angry I worry for his health. That is what is being mocked.
But some of them found it to be a bit hurty. So they tried to cancel the word.

Yep they like to pretend it doesn't mean, what it means.
It's a group of persons referenced to by their skin colour or ethnic origins and their politics. I see no credible suggestion that a brown or black person can be a Gammon. Therefore to spread hatred towards those you consider Gammons or flag shagging gammons etc etc..

To be fair to the others, it is only me that has said that I would include any right winger of any colour who was foaming at the mouth as being a Gammon. That is what comes to my mind when I hear people use the word Gammon.
I have made it clear many times that I never use the word Gammon myself, because I know some people claim to find it offensive.
