Hi there,

I need some advice on the best way to install 2 seperate sets of low voltage cupboard lights (in a kitchen).

I can either connect then from FCBs, but this would mean having un-light like switches :(
Or I could spur them off the light circuit, although this sounds like a major task in running the cabling inside the ceiling void.

I would ideally like to have them switched from a double switch (1 sw to main light, 1 to 2x LV light circuits)

Any recommendations gratefully received.

er... whats a FCB?

you can either have them from the lighting circuit and have them switched from the same place as the existing switch or you can have them from a SFCU somewhere

Sorry, It's a long time since my college days, FCB = Fused connection Box ( and yes, I meant the switched variety).

I will endeavour to use the proper terminology. I did mean FCU (or rather SFCU).

There's nothing to stop you taking a feed of the ring via an FCU (unswitched) fusing it down to 3A and then running the lights off that via a 1 gang switch....
