Is it ok to run a 230v mains cable adjacent to a digital receiver cable?

I want to run a Virginmedia cable and a 230v mains cable along the inner lip of a picture rail in one of my bedrooms for a length of about 3' to cut out the sight of cables trailing up behind the wall mounted tv.

Yes, it'll be just fine. After all, how many TV cabinets up and down the country are filled with mains power, satellite, cable TV and terrestrial cables all intertwined?

It's not advisable for fixed wiring, but it doesn't sound as if this is particularly applicable here.

Thanks for the reply electronics, they will only laying next to each other not tied together for a short distance. Just wanted to make sure.

Thank you.
