Hello Guys,
Got a quick question. Recently my brother went through a 2.5" 415V 3 Phase (thats what the jointer said) with a Hilti Hammer. The Cable was buried about 6" below the surface of my mums lawn/patio. The electrical company have done an emergency repair and have now come to bury the cable deeper. It has been over a month now since they have dug up the entire length of the cable that goes straight through my mums house from the back wall, down the side of the house and under the front wall and it has been left open. I am not particularly happy with this situation as my 18 month daughter loves to play in the garden but cannot due to this situation. Now for the questions:
1. How far down should this cable be (~600mm??)?
2. Should the cable be there in the first place (through a domestic property) ?
3. Could we insist on the cable being removed?
4. My Mum has thought about building an extension on the side of the house, as it stands this would cover the cable, what we have to do to sort this?
THanks In Advance Guys
Jamie
