I attempted to change a failed halogen GU10 lamp in a run of 3 but when I turned the light switch back on all 3 failed. I have since tried another lamp with no luck, I have checked the connections all seem tight with no signs of damage. The light switch is a 2-way switch and the other light in the dinning area works fine. I'm not sure what to check next before I call an electrician, any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

Halogen lamps will often take out the MCB or fuse. Have you checked that? Are any other lights not working?

Loose connection disturbed when failed lamp removed? You will probably have to pull the light out of the ceiling to check, turn power off first though.

Echo the husy, Thanks for your reply but as I stated in the initial post I have checked all of the connections, by taking up the bathroom floor to do so.

But not to worry as I have now replaced the 2-way dimmer switch and all is working which is great.

Just a word of warning:

Halogen GU10's are an absolute b'stard for blowing dimmers to bits when they fail.
