Hi Gang

Can any one tell me how i go about getting my main power cables to my property moved, and any ideas on cost. I realise that every job is different and what it cost one household will differ from the next but was after ball park figures.
They are currently attached to the gable end of the house, but i am extending the house and therefore the gable end will be extended.

Cheers in advance

Steve

You'll need to contact your local DNO who will be able to move the incoming supply, as this is not a job for a domestic electrician and the incoming supply is the property of the DNO. Don't expect it to be cheap I'm afraid!

You will save yourself a few pounds if you dig the trench (as they would like it) yourself.

I recently paid a gas transporter over £200 to provide a gas supply from the boundary to my house.

Contact your supplier not DNO.

They will arrange for an engineer to visit who will asses whats involved and how much it will cost.

AFAIK The engineer comes out for free.
