my property has lead pipe from house to boundary stop tap then 600mm into rear lane plastic inspection housing with plastic 90 degree tap does this mean the main feed to this will be MDPE or similar if so can my plumber renew the lead and connect to this
also do I need 2 taps 1000mm apart plus a stop cock in the house

The supply pipe could be either steel or MDPE

Nobody knows! Or can know. But you could excavate around your boundary line stopcock and find out what material the incoming pipe is.
