I need to put a 2 gang knockout box into an external breezeblock wall. I've done several dry lined boxes but this one has to be in the external wall. All I can think of at the moment is to drill a matrix of holes and chisel the bits out. Can any give some tips into the easiest way to do this with basic tools.

As you said, drill lots of holes then bolster chisel it out.
SHould be easy in bb..

Is this actually "breeze block" - ie the old soft clinker blocks, or denser concrete blocks or lightweight concrete such as thermalite?

If its the two former ones, then a drill is going to bounce around all over the place, and without a guide then it will be difficult to make a square hole. You may be better off with a 2" bolster chisel.

If its thermalite blocks, then you can cut it out with a spoon
