Makita BMR 100 Radio

Hi People,

Find the website great for tips and help so thought I would join as a member and post a problem I have. I have owned a Makita BMR 100 for several years, recently the clock display is working but everything else is not. The original battery is an 18 v Ni cad, also tried a 14.4 lithium iron but still no luck. With a fully charged battery, the radio is displaying empty battery and the clock I assume is running off a separate AA battery. Am about to have a look inside, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Battery contacts clean? how did it happen? fallen off? if you good with solder iron try to replace all the capacitors by the battery board. (all assuming that your battery it is good.

You'll need a 40W iron, not a Lithium iron.
