But get yourself to Manchester Central Library, and in its splendid surroundings get the electoral register for, say, Rusholme and Longsight from 50 years ago. They are all there, massive tomes. Look through the pages to see thousands of English names in all their wonderful varieties, sprinkled with the occasional O' Connor and Murphy. Then look through the most recent edition of the same and you will find little else but monotonous repetitions of Mohammeds, Khans and Patels. Population replacement.
