I masked some double doors, both sides with green frog tape.
15 panes per door, both sides, with crinkly glass.
I applied an undercoat and one top coat of armstead water based silk.

should i remove the masking tape before the top coat or leave it?
I was planning on running a sharp knife along the seam as i peel, or at least having it to hand.

thanks

ps see also my Q about wetting while painting?

ideally masking should be removed whilst still wet, but obviously that is a right royal pain if you are doing several coats.
If the paint has dried I would cut the tape out as a matter of course as you will almost certainly pull some of the paint off otherwise.

Will do-

I may try to remove the masking now and remask , then remove the second masking while wet.
