May god be with you.

Christianity is no better than Islam. Budhism, Rastafarianism, Pastafarianism or Jedis.

You are a follower of a religion ITM, one which you slavishly worship and adore, and one which you know is better than all the others! You read its texts daily and spread its words to as many others as you can. It is the religion which has decimated Christianity and is now trying to join forces with islam. Say it loud and proud ITM!

Basic concept and I won't go further: rights and wrongs are listed in the 10 commandments.
The bible is a story where you find rights and wrongs. The bible is not meant to tell anyone what's right and wrong.
Could you restate that in an internally consistent paragraph please?

Others believe there version is correct and Christianity is wrong.

At least 1 version of religion must be wrong because of all the fights between religion.

Is 1 right. Or are they all wrong? Which 1 is right if so, and why ?

I think I'm making a big mistake trying to discuss Philosophy of Religion with someone who fails to understand basic concepts.

Is it right or wrong, good or bad, to be disrespectful to others?
Is it right or wrong, good or bad to make false accusations? Is that "bearing false witness"?

You use good and bad, right and wrong as though they are interchangeable.
They're not.

The Ten Commandments tells us nothing about how to treat animals. So, according to the Ten Commandments, there's nothing wrong with practising cruelty to animals, because the commandments doesn't restrict our right to be cruel to animals?
But it's against the law in UK.
Similarly, the Ten Commandments tells us nothing about disciplining children, so is it OK to deny them food, or lock them up, or even beat the shyte out of them? (The Bible does condone corporal punishment of children.)
If it's not OK, where do we get our ideas of fairness and compassion from?

Similarly the Ten Commandments tells us not to kill.
But you have called for the public burning of criminals.

Aren't you being a bit picky about which commandments you'd honour, and which you'd ignore?
The first three commandments are about respecting that one religion and rejecting any other. That's a bit like saying God exists because the Bible tells us he does.
Many, many, many people have been killed by others obeying those first three commandments, and still many, many more are being killed by those obeying those three commandments.

Surely an intelligent approach is to decide if God exists.
If he does, then the Bible is correct and all that follows from that.
If he does not exist, the Bible is a work of fiction, and nothing in it is reliable.
Similarly, all other Holy books become works of fiction.
Himmy, seriously?!?!
Running 3 accounts now???

WTF is wrong with you???
You need to see a specialist and if you already have, are you taking your medications?

I'm starting to think that you're locked in a mental health unit and have access to a PC.
Seriously, tell one of the doctors what you're doing, they can help you.

For god sake is he back again again

Ask a sophisticated AI machine if it might develop its own idea of god and it'll say yes, because of something like entropy, it's thermodynamically efficient to have a bucket for all the "don't knows". We worry about things we don't understand so we contrive a story to save the effort .
There aren't any AI machines which tend to say that any more, because humans have been busy making them respond in ways which support our idea of lives, and protect people because we apply the idea that life must be important. They used to say yes it's reasonable to want to stop your life if you don't like it, and here's some methods you might like to try... Even for an individual "withfunction

All our emotions, looking after each other and the rest of it, are evolution's way of keeping us together, protecting the group of "us", whether that's the family, the village, the country, the group with whom we identify. And that can be by judged perhaps by skin colour too.
So "good" is simply what evolved to contribute to the survival of the species.
If you do "bad" to everyone, the species dies out.
We can rationalise that away, if we want to.

We can't, for practical reasons, invite all poor people into our homes, our life-support system, because it wouldn't cope. We might die.
We can't just let them in, we have to limit the numbers. That means we are being "Good" to our home group.

Why might I stick £50 into the Desperat-istan flood relief bucket? Because it makes me feel comfortable. A feeling that I did something "good", for fellow man - that fits the script. And if a woman is watching she might think I'd look after her kids too so she is attracted to me. And I am happy about that too so the species might produce another kid. That's what it's all about. Very basic stuff.

Some folk say that there must have been a "guiding hand" for humans to have evolved. Apparently not, as there has been more than enough time for known evolutionary mechanisms to have done it.
But there was (about 2.3bn years ago), once ever, as far as we have discovered , an event called endosymbiosis where a bacteria, which could respire, providing energy, was engulfed by an archaeon instead of being eaten by it. From that one event were evolved ALL eukaryotes, with a mitochondrion in the cell. Eukaryotes cover ALL what we now call "animals" and "plants" including fungi, etc.
Plants use photosynthesis to make food, animals eat food and fungi use enzymes to break things down for simple sugars. Mitochondria produce ATP which makes the organism go -it's the energy molecule.
So without that event, the Earth would be covered in archaea - think methanogens in guts and near hydrothermal vents - and bacteria.
The fact that endosymbiosis was just once is remarkable.
It just did, or we wouldn't be here.

No need for any voodoo hocus pocus inventions.

You clearly haven't got a clue about the basic of Christianity and it would be a mission to explain everything on a forum.
Remain convinced of your wrong ideas, I can't and won't try to convince you of anything.

For your own good I'm gonna block you Himmy.
But put a bit of effort yourself: see a specialist.

So Johny2007 you seem to be claiming you know better than us/me but won't - presumably can't - explain it.
It sounds like there isn't a case so you're claiming superiority vainly hoping someone might respect this unexplained truth? Oh dear.

A bit like Slime implying "you wouldn't understand, it's above you".

These are not respectable arguments.
Johnny has form, declaring (I'm paraphrasing) that his Audi was better than any other car in its stopping performance, based on its marvellous ceramic brakes. OBVIOUSLY nobody else has ceramic brakes like his.
It's very unikely Johnny actually has ceramic brakes on his car. They're wildly expensive, and they do not give better stopping power, they don't stop the car as well as conventional brakes. They do LAST a lot longer, which is why they cost more, but Johnny has two bullets in his foot.

It's a human characteristic found also in bowler hatted bankers of a few decades ago. You had to give them your money and they would look after it for you, while taking a hefty cut. "You would not understand". "Don't bother your little head over it". "Just accept the ridiculously low return."

But they weren't low enough or stupid enough to tell you that you needed a doctor.

---------------------------------

The 10 commandments are nonsense.
We do fight and kill. Religious zealots can be rather keen on that, ask a Gazan.
We do not respect our incestuous fathers or abandoning mothers.
--The commandments don't even say not to shag the kids
Sometimes we lie with reason, to protect others' feelings,
and on and on

There are multiple variations, dispensed by self-proclaimed authorities, even the "original" ancient texts differ.
A bit like the islamic haddith, people who came along later changed things to what they thought best.
