I have a set of Mcguard locking wheel bolts on my car, but the key jobby which came with the car does not fit the bolts.

I have got a replacement set of bolts, but what is the best way to remove the old bolts without shafting my alloy wheels?

I thought about drilling them out but are they hardened steel?

I also have a set of screw extractors (look like backwards taps) but will these be strong enough?

there is a specalised tool to do it so it doesnt create a mess, maybe a decent tyre place will have one, there are sockets on flea bay, dont know how good they are

All sorted with thanks to Spark123.

Hammered a 19mm deep socket onto the bolt and unscrewed it with a standard wrench.

Bit of a worry how easy they were to remove without the key. <60 seconds each

Come off too easy.
Best ones ive seen are the ones with 3 holes in them, they have a hardened steel sleeve round the outside which spins so you cant hammer a socket on them........ pig to get off if you lose the key
