I have some large tongue and groove MR MDF panels to put on the bathroom walls, should I prime the backside of the panels before putting them up or will this cause a problem with adhesion when I glue the panels to the wall? Thanks

just keep them away from wet areas
splash areas like the sink should be ok iff well treated

I would keep MDF well away from the bathroom

green will still swell if it gets wet but providing its kept dry it will be ok
yes if it gets wet for more than a few mins it will but the odd splash on a painted surface wont harm

having said that it needs to be kept off the floor by at least 5mm if the floor in the area is likely to get wet with no mopping unless skirting is fitted and siliconed to the floor
