Hi

Anyone know where I can get supplies of this, as want to minimise any danger to family when buiding mdf wardrobes: does painting mdf reduce or remove the danger of formaldehyde fumes being released over time?

Thanks.

as far as im aware mdf is carseogenic only when it is being cut, hence why they recommend the use of a decent face mask, theyve been using mdf for years for bedroom furniture etc.

Any stockist of Medite or Caber will be able to supply the ZF boards. Most of what's made by known makers is class A low formaldihide, (though some of the cheap stuff from the sheds may not be) so should not gas of any significant amount.

What part of the country are you in and I'll point you in the right direction.

Medite call their ZF "Ecologique" There is a WT Edens in Dunstable if thats any good, look at the price guide for all the types of board they do.
