Carpet over floor boards eventually start to show the gaps and any undulation .
Yeah with cheap carpets/ underlay
Do they, if the boards are flat and the underlay decent. I agree small imperfections can show up but mottled’s floor looks flat
Spec savers?
It is flat but look at the gaps between the boards in the photo in post #1. Trust me, after a while you can see every board in the right light. One more bedroom to board out then all the upstairs will be ready for carpeting but that won’t be for a while yet. Downstairs is fine as it’s T&G but upstairs is a nightmare.
