Ordering tiles online and want to make sure we get all we need from same batch.

What is rule of thumb for measuring up, to allow for tiles that need to be cut at edges of walls, and the odd couple that might break?

Area of wall + 10%? +5%? Something else?

We're doing 4 walls - one window + one door, and two panels on the bath.

Measure the square area to be tiled, make that calculation and add 10% for cuts.

Generally the tile supplier will allow a refund on unused box of tiles. So you could always purchase an extra box, but make sure they will take it back first.

Parents looking for non-slip tiles for bathroom floor. Mum has artificial leg so non-slip extremely important.

What type of tiles do the job in this regard?

They're looking for a cream / beige colour with darker brown marbling through them.
