Media Player 11

Installed Media Player 11 a while back.
When I try to open now, it will not respond. I have just installed it again.
Rebooted OC as instructed. It still will not respond. Its work PC so dont use media player much.
Any Ideas

Hi - WMP 11 is problematic for a lot of people. Uninstall it and go back to 9 or 10, much more reliable. Wait until MS have sorted out all the bugs in 11. Regards.

I tried to download WMP 10 but it goes & d/loads 11.
Anyway it is working but when I click the media player icon it takes about 3 mins to open (egg timer running) I feel as though it could be access the hard drive or internet to check for updates or something. I cannot see any settings to stop activities. Are there any?

I've found Media 11 to be a pain too. I reinstalled windows and left Media 10 as it is more user friendly.

Try installing 10 from a different site.

I find the library is a pain to find the tracks you want in MP11, it seems to change contributing artists into unknown artists & then you can`t find a track by artist search! It does burn music quicker though
