my parents, had a mega flow tank fitted 18 months ago.

now, recently they have been using both showers in the house at the same time. but they are both really poor, although 1 on its own is fine.

the pressure coming into the house is regulated (5bar) (15mm)

the supply cold in the airing cupboard area is 22mm. (would increacind=g this change anything?)

would appreciate any comments or thoughts on this subject

many thanks in anticipation...

The megaflow should have a pressure reducing valve which will regulate the pressure to 3.5 bars. The flow is the problem in your case. You need in excess of 20 lpm for the system to work properly. An incoming mains of 15mm is insufficient and the installer should have explained this to you before installation.

A hobbled system.

We would have fitted an OSO, cranked the pressure up to 4 or so
Bar and told you to get at least a 25mm feed from the street.

Showers would have been lovely...

Agreed with all the above, it's all very well feeding the cylinder with 22mm but if you've only got a 15mm incoming it's going to make bugger all difference. You'll need to upgrade the incoming supply to 25mm from the stopcock in the road and take 22mm off that all the way to your cylinder.

You could also get the filter on the Megaflo supply checked, that might be a bit blocked.

If you do have at least 2 bar incoming on 15mm pipe it should still be able to power 2 showers for at least 5mins.

I know the desired size would be 22mm but they do work fine on smaller bore pipework.

As the others have said check the filter on the pressure reducing valve and then restore the bubble on the cylinder as per the instructions on the side.

Also check that the stopcock in the house and the water meter stop cock are fully open. Won't be the first time an installer has opened a little to check for leaks and then forgot to open fully

The expansion bubble on the megaflows holds around 40lts of water and act as a small acumulator
