Hi I have a Renault Megane 1.6 dci on a 13 plate with 100k now on the clock. I have been trying to find out what anti pollution system is fitted, fap, blue stuff, it just regenerates but cannot get a straight answer. To my knowledge its had nothing put in anywhere in the time I've had it. Should it have had, what and where?

I can only speak for the 1.5dci motor - that doesn't use any adblue, eloys or FAPs fluid but rather relies on an extra fuel injection system that supplies fuel just upstream of the catalytic converter which raises it's temperature above 300 deg C when required to regenerate that and the DPF which of course it has.
This is one of the better systems as there is no oil dilution or cylinder bore washing applicable to some makes.
I guess the 1.6 motor is similar?
Not all engines require fuel additives, it can depend on the individual design of the exhaust system.
