Megane shuddering solved

Got the coil changed in my megane, and it was unbelievable the difference in the sound of the engine, i really could not belive it, so thank u to everyone who replied to me, i am so thankful, i was so scared i had bought a pig in a poke.

Nice one Gareth and thanks for the post back.
These Renault pencil coils are notorious for failure....I think they get too hot because of their position within the cylinder head.

I think your right John re: Heat, thats what sees off the VW coils, luckily my VW is a 1999 model year & has the amp separate

They seem to be a weak point on a lot of cars. Audi are currently replacing all the coil packs on a range of cars when they next get serviced at a dealer. I had mine done about a month ago (2005 A4 2.0 TFSI).
