Megane starting problem

I have a problem with my sons 1998 renault megane 1.6 petrol. when trying to start it with the key it turns over easily but will not start.When it gets a push it starts imediately and will start off the key after that. When it runs it runs perfectly well. Any help will be appreciated thanks

Really need to get a diagnostic scan done on it as it could be literally hundreds of things.
Common culprits would probably be crank/cam position sensor, duff battery/connections, fuel pump/ relay, ignition switch.

Don't keep bump starting it if it has a cat

Found the problem. It was the immobolizer, thanks for the help
