Memora 2000 ad earthing out

Hi have a Memora 2000 ad and one of the trip switches (not sure their tech name) keeps earthing out but the switch dosent actually trip i can see it sparking on the earth bar running between each trip switch, there is quite allot going through it down stairs sockets two tv's xbox ps3 computer i wondered if the load was too great for it / Any help greatly apreciated

PS this is an intermittent problem

maybe i need a higher capacity mcb or is it an mccb

You can see sparking at the bottom??

Sounds like the BUSBAR (which is LIVE, not earth) is not correctly seated in the bottom of the MCB's terminal, most likely the terminal needs doing up, but you should also check that the busbar is on the correct side of the 'vice like' terminal.

turn the power off at the main switch before trying to tighten the screw..
we don't mean to make you out to be an idiot, but some people don't think about these things sometimes....
