Men in Womens sport

I ended up on this website https://fairplayforwomen.com/, and I've been reading how many women (especially in sport) feel threatened by the fact they've trained most of their lives to compete professionally only to lose out to biological men who identify as women.

Striking example: https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/...ransgender-woman-win-track-world-title-397473

The cyclist who finished in 3rd has tweeted to say she felt it was unfair.

I've heard the argument about being a 'real woman' requires a vagina, a womb etc but some trans activits then say, well is it right to call women who have had a hysterectomy 'real women'? I see this as being dishonest because it dismisses the way mens and womens bodies develop with the presence of testosterone in the body.

A persons sex can me male , female or quite a few things in between.
It’s a bit like the way disabled athletes are categorised, it’s not perfect but it’s the best we can do.

According to some school of thought, man are xy, while women are xx.

While debating female sport on r5L, one correspondent said that it was effectively a "testosterone handicap race", meaning that some women had more testosterone (and we're therefore more "male"), and so had greater advantage in strength and speed events.

Sounds like a good excuse to let trans women enter a womens competition.

A bit like entering the F1 with a puntured tyre against someone with 4 good ones.

Whilst everyone must be allowed to do whatever they want and the world is devoid of common sense then that is the way it will be.

I watched the darts recently, saw the women's final & thought that it was one sport that men & women could compete in equally. That & extreme ironing.

I'd imagine the same would be the case for a few sports but not so much for athletic sports.

Its women that have XY chromosones -IE male chromosones.

They have internal testes.

There has been a controvacy about sex testing in the olympic games.

Interesting read. However is it fair to compare this instance with transgenderism? Specifically a man training for 10+ years with an expected high T count contributing to male development only to then compete as a trans woman against other women who will have not physically developed equally to that same person? There will be a margin in any case but a lot more extreme in the case of a 'biological' man prone to testosterone sensitivity and a woman who would have a much lower count?

Agreed, but why have men & women's categories ? Women have had a go at F1 (I think) but could their bodies stand the stresses a mans could ? Shooting & archery could appear to be the same for both sexes, but more strength may be needed for the bows, does the kickback from a gun affect women more than men?
What other sports can you think of that men & women can compete in with neither having an advantage ?
