Metal Shed inside Garage

Hey,

A bit of strange one but I need some advice on a metal Shed that I would like to put inside my garage.

Ok, let me explain the reason for this. I need a work space however i rent my property and do not want to build a permanent structure.

I have a large garage and was considering placing a wooden Shed inside however due to roof beams this is difficult. I also considered a large wooden shipping container again to put inside my garage (they have flat roofs) however these are tricky to get hold of. I have now seen a metal Shed which is a reasonable price and matches my dimensions.

I have been doing some research and have noticed that people complain of condensation on the inside of them. I will be insulating the inside of the metal Shed but to what degree would I get condensation? Would fibre insulation (loft rolls) and boarding out walls and roof be sufficient to stop this as it's inside the garage?

I know this may seem crazy and a waste of money but I am currently unable to move and this seems the most cost effective option.

If you have a garage, why do you need to have a shed inside it?

You could put in a wooden shed replacing the pent roof with a flat roof since it does not need the shed rain.
Still unclear why you want to do this?

I run a small business from home and my wife is getting annoyed that I'm taking over the bedroom so I need to move it into the garage. As it's computer equipment it is sensitive to temperature change therefore I needed a way to control this. The garage is poorly insulated as is and it's too large to heat constantly. That's why i thought of this and as I am renting the property i didn't want a permanent structure.

You won't be able to control the temperature of any container inside the garage, eventually they will both have the same inside envoironment as each other. Perhaps you should consider renting controlled envoiroment storage or consider keeping the wife in the garage.

He said he was gonna heat the shed. Anyway go for timber if you can (maybe build your own?), much easier to insulate and if you get it right (lots of threads on DIYnot) no condensation issues.

how temporary is this structure ??
if its for months rather than years then maybe loft insulation just draped over the outside off the shed not neat but quick and cheapish but not recommended iff pets or children will use the space

Where does it say that? All I can read is that the garage is too big to heat.
