Western power upgraded the fuse from 60amps to 80amps

Should they have upgraded the tails to 20mm?

No. They are your responsibility.

If they are 16mm², all is well - that might be why they didn't fit a 100A fuse.

The next size up is 25mm².

Why did they do it? They surely didn't come round out of the goodness of their hearts.

Upgrading the fuse was carried out FOC, it was requested as further lights are to be installed in the property

So 80amp fuse on 16mm tails is fine?

Yes, though hardly necessary for more lights, I would have thought.

When you said tails I am assuming you meant from meter to consumer unit, which are your responsibility.

Before the meter is their responsibility, but they have more realistic current ratings and use 16mm² for 100A.
