House built 1954 original toilet bowl has smashed. New toilet cheap enough at around £60 hardly used in fact only visitors use it so just a cheap one is good enough.

However 1954 was imperial and today we are metric so likely there will be a problem. So question is do I need converters of some type. Likely buy from Electrofix so Screwfix references will help.

It may be I can use push on connectors rather than solder or maybe a simple adaptor but not a clue what to look for and once the water is turned off don't really want anything stopping me. A £2 adaptor is cheaper than returning to screwfix even if not used so any idea what to look for and get to ensure I have what is required.
