Every so often I cannot save Excel worksheet as it needs "Activate" to be actioned

I go to "Already have a subscription"

Email address appears and Next box which I click on gives following box

I enter password

I get following

If I enter last 4 digits of phone number instead, then I am told

Does not say what to do next.

Is there a number I can call for help?
Any of you clever chaps, do you have a solution?

One link I got looks like a scam as is asking for £1.00 payment. Do not mind paying this small amount but do not know if it is a scam or genuine option

TIA

Suggest uninstalling office, rebooting and try reinstalling. Your subscription is tied to your Microsoft account so there should be no need to pay £1, never been asked ever… MS will already have your card details on record for recurring payments. Do check you have anti-virus enabled. If you ever suspect unusual behaviour etc, a full reset of your computer is important to try and flush out malware. Good luck

It looks like you have two factor authentication turned on (2FA).

MS want you to enter your email and the last part of your phone number so that they can send you a SMS text message.

Have you changed either of the above? Is the 365 account yours or are you a guest on a home 365 account? Did you pay MS directly on subscription or do you purchase activation codes via 3rd parties (I do the latter because it is normally cheaper).

Are you using a PC or tablet/phone?

You could try to log in through the web interface

If you have previously done so via Chrome, it may have remembered your login details (assuming that you let chrome remember it).

The following might help if you have forgotten which email account you used
