I bought this new about 5 years ago and it has been great so far. But it has now sprung a leak and I am unable to remove the top, back or bottom panels to access the workings. I have removed 8 screws on the back and the lid is now slightly loose but not wanting to come away. Does anyone have any handy tips, or is this another case of 'specialist tools needed'? :D

Where is the water leaking...front, back, under?
Check the obvious places before dismantling anything. Is there a hole or tear in the door bellow or holed/leaking hose etc?
Access is from the front (front whole panel has to come off) & the only tool you need is a T20 bit/screwdriver. If you want to remove the lid lever off the 2 small plastic covers each side of the lid (front). Unscrew the T20 screws under about 5-6 turns & push the bolts in. Lift the lid at the front & then slide it back & off the rear lugs. You don't need to remove any other screws at the back or sides. To remove the front panel release the outer door bellow spring, unscrew the 8mm bolt in the door opening, remove the 2 door switch screws, take off the drain tube in the filter door flap, remove the kick-strip lower front & remove the two outer T20. screws. Lever the front panel out slightly near the bottom then release the whole front panel downwards & off two plastic lugs at the top. The whole process takes 10mins

Thanks. It's leaking from underneath, but there is a panel right across the bottom so that doesn't help to narrow it down for you, except that it doesn't appear to be the door seal that leaks. I can't access any hoses without doing some dismantling. On my previous (cheaper) machines it has been easy to lift the lid and change hoses, brushes and suchlike, but not this one.

Following your advice I have concentrated on the front panel rather than the lid. I have removed the door, undone a 10mm bolt at the bottom of the door opening, pulled off the kick strip, taken out the 2 outer T20 screws you mention and loosened the front panel but it seems to be held by the door/drum seal. Is this the final bit that needs to come off and, if so, can you advise how to do it?

Your help so far has been great, but I think the model may be slightly different as the 8mm bolt you mentioned is 10mm on my machine and there doesn't appear to be the drain tube in the filter flap that you mentioned either. There are definitely Brownie points to be earned here from my wife if her beloved machine can be revived without a second mortgage!

Great. I have removed the front and admired the workings - couldn't find a leak so put it back together and switched on, only to find water leaking from the drawer front. I have been working away from home during the week and came home to a big puddle on the floor and was told it had not come out from the front but from underneath, so perhaps should have checked this first. I took the drawer out and unblocked the tube at the back going down into the drum (not easy to get into it), flushed it through with hot water, and it seems to be okay now. And I now know how to access the inner workings for next time. Thanks, zipper, for your help. :D
