What's wrong with a slither?
just checking its acceptable to finish with a slither. never tiled anything before.

You could always move the walls! 
More importantly, what are opinions on the below; the issue being the non matching of tile size, meaning I'll have a large grout line to compensate. Any thoughts on whether I should just lay these with the big gap?
If you lay those tiles in that location then you will need a big dog to lie there or train a creeper!
not bothered about the colour mismatch its the grout lines that are going to look ridiculous i think, any other opinions?

Why not make a clean line, then finish with a completely different coloured set of tiles. Then it becomes a feature!
