I've just removed a shower tray and will be fitting a washing machine in its place. Problem is the shower trap was quite shallow and the concrete floor was hacked out to allow it to fit. The washing machine trap I have bought is even deeper.

Is there a minimum depth of trap required for a washing machine?

Use new trap. Just alter pipe so u can connect new trap.Use a coup[le of 90 degree elbows and short bit of inch and a half waste pipe.

Thanks. Since posting - we've had a think and came to the same conclusion (well OK - it wasn't me that came up with the idea!).
