I installed a new shower a fortnight ago and initially it worked perfectly. After a few days the water temperature wasn't constant. It ranged from hot to lukewarm every 20 secs or so. I contacted the Miras helpline and was advised to fit a pressure regulator on the cold feed. It didn't seem to make any difference whatever it was set at. I discovered that the only way to get constant temperature was to turn down the hot pressure using the service valve. Only trouble is I get a shower with little power. I've fiddled with it for days now. Does anyone think the cartridge is faulty?

Run the shower and check to see if the boiler is modulating, if it has a viewing window see if the flame is going up and down.

There isn't a viewing window but the burner light goes out briefly after about 30 seconds before coming on again. I've also tried the hot and cold running simultaneously in the kitchen and the same thing happens.

Thanks for that. I'm on the British Gas sheme so will book an engineer's visit. Hope that solves the problem. I'll let you know.
