mira shower cuts out

I have just installed a new mira go 8.5 kw electric shower, when i turn the shower on it works for about five mins and then it cuts out. the circuit breaker does not trip but i have noticed that by turning off and on the main power cord for the shower the light comes back on. could this be a fault with the switch in the celling?? :cry:
 
It sounds like the ceiling switch is goosed or there is a loose connection in it.
 
i had a look at the celling switch and one of the wires in it was loose, looked a bit heat damaged too. think i was lucky with that one. thanks.
