Hi people.

I’ve got an old Mira excel shower mixer that just ain’t working. It looks pretty old and I can’t find a photo of it online to work out the exact version of the model.

Ideally, if I was going to replace it, I’d be able to source a Mira mixer with the same centres for the hot and cold inlet pipes and body shape so it would sit against the wall OK. As you can see, the wall tiles etc are horrible (not my work) so everything cosmetic needs a redo anyway.

Just wondering if anyone knows how easy it would be to just whack another mixer in here without having to faff around with the feed pipes. This one’s pipe centres seem to be about 112mm.

Otherwise, do you reckon it’s a false economy to try and find a replacement cartridge, presuming the one in this is knackered?

Cheers all.

Mira 415a or 415b maybe.
Looks same as mine.
Still get parts I think...

One is low pressure so works off water tank.
The other is mains pressure worked from combi boiler

Those Mira Valves are pretty much indestructible in my experience, parts still appear to be available, often a strip down, replacement of the seals, O rings etc and a greasing of the moving parts is all that is needed.

While your buying new seals etc. Buy a tin of ready mix grout for those tiles, else you will end up with a sodden wall (if not already) and a leak somewhere you do not want it.

Sorry, not been on here for a while. Yes, the tiles/install are appalling. Deffo needs sealing. Cheers
