Mira Shower

Have an old Mira mixer tap in the shower 25 years old
It works Ok except if feels like it needs lubricating.
Stripping apart is not an option as the centre nut feels like it will shear
tried spraying on several occasion wd4O on centre spindle to work in but to no effect
I wondered is there a better penetrating Spray lubricant out there I could try

Taking it apart is the only option.
Sprays will do nothing, as you need to remove the old grease from inside first.
WD40 is not a lubricant.

Plusgas is great for dismantling stuff.
You could try that but it does need taking apart to service it... Or just buy new... Depends on the time you have on your hands... Wouldn't be economical for a plumber to do this.

I hear what you say at present it action is rough with a small drip when turned off
But if I attempt to remove it
it will become a massive job in terms of time and expense
