Hi I'm looking for some help regarding a missing seal on a flue.
I bought a house about 18 months ago and recently had a problem with the central heating system leaking water which was found to be the condensation out pipe (or something like that) so we had a guy out from the people who fitted the flue out to have a look who said we need the boiler people out to look but when he left their was a seal left under the boiler. The people who came out to look at the boiler said they can order the parts but the boiler is unsafe to use due to the missing seal and said we are not allowed to use the boiler until it was fixed.
Unfortunately we have no way of knowing if this seal has been missing for 18 Months or since the last guy came out. 1st Guy came out last Wednesday and the boiler guy came out last Saturday and we have been without heating since.
Can anyone let me know how dangerous this missing seal is and if they have a link to any safety regulations etc as from what I have been told its not safe and if this is the case I need to know where I go from here?
As you can tell I don't really know much about this so any help would be much appreciated!
