missing shortcut

Uninstalled some software and now on start up the pooter looks for a missing shortcut. How do I get rid of this annoying message permanently rather than keep having to cancel it?

Mine was a webcam I've uninstalled and it's on Windows 98 - can I still follow the Startup outlined fior XP trail?

I struggle to remember the Win98 way unless I have one in front of me, so you may have to adapt this a little.

Click start, then settings and then taskbar. Click the advanced button and then in the browser, navigate to startup. The shortcut will probably be there.
