mist coat? over fresh plaster? in kitchen?

Hi all,

This question might be largely irrelevant but i'll ask anyway.. When painting a first coat over fresh plaster in a kitchen should I be using a watered down kitchen/bathroom paint or a standard watered down emulsion?

A standard watered down " trade matt emulsion".

yup, bog standard cheap trade/contract emulsion, watered down a bit, this just seals the plaster before applying your more expensive paint so that you should only need to coats of it.
