I have an ecodan heating system, air source.

I have a 4 bedroom house, we have radiators and not under floor heating.

The House is 6 months old.

Our bills are 300 per month ( IMO this is far to expensive)

Upstairs is fine, gets really warm.

Downstairs we get cold, not freezing. we need a blanket

We turn the heating up and it never gets past 21 degrees.

The plumber says that the hallway should only get to 18 degrees anyway ( so if I wanted 25 degrees in the hall, I can't)

I had a bloke from up the road who popped to see us (industrial Mitsubishi engineer) tell me that he thinks the radiator in the hall is too small and that the radiator is trying to warm the hall but is too small and that's why my bills are so expensive.

What can I do to get this resolved, and who is telling the truth?

What temperature are the radiators running at...heat pumps become less efficient the higher the output temp...hence they are normally used with underfloor heating.
