mixing floor adhesive

Hi

In the process of laying tiles, however have just read the back of the adhesive pack which says 4 volumes of powder to 1 volume of water, can someone tell me how do i do this, is it for example 4 cups of poweder and 1 cup of water.

Put a couple of inches of water in a bucket, then just add the powder and mix it. Don't be frightened of adding a lot of powder in one go. It should be the consistency of peanut butter when mixed correctly.

Thinking about it, I don't know one person that eats peanut butter, yet we all know its consistency.
