Mondeo engine swap over

Hi all

Got roped into swapping an engine on a 2002 V6 2.5 mondeo, after it got a bit thirsty driving through a flood the other day

Haven't even looked at it yet, but anyone got any tips? Out through the top, or underneath? anything to take off to make it easier?

The 2.5 V6 is a fair lump, not a lot of room around the engine, it can be removed from the top, after disconnecting as much as you can from below, but it's a fiddly job.
My daughter unfortunately had a cam belt failure, which needless to say wrecked the engine.
Searching e-bay I located a brand new 2.5 V6, several engines had been donated to local further educational collages to use in projects.
I managed to get one (it had lain in a storage room for about four years)
zero milage I paid £800, well pleased, a never to be repeated bargin.
Fitted by local garage, through the top as mentioned, so it can be done.
