Are you certain the batteries are the correct way round?

is it just the remote unlocking/locking that doesnt work???

maybe you took to long in changing them,
it might need reprogramming to the car,instructions are in your service book on how to do it.

if it dont start the car with the key THEN WORRY coz youve lost your pats chip.

It shouldn't matter how long you take to change the battery, it doesn't need any power to keep it's memory. Even when the battery is in place, everything is dead until you press the button on the fob.
