Need to fit a new basin in the bathroom after smashing the old one with a downligher

Wife insists on a monobloc to replace dual taps so got one with flexible pipes. The end of the pipe is a union type affair with a flat rubber washer.

I also want to fit an isolator valve. Question: Can i simple screw the female union onto the outlet of the isolator. Will the washer seal or do I need something else?

Thanks

Yes,you can do what you describe.
It will be fine.
Someone will no doubt come on here saying you must use 1/2 male unions.Zzz......! Ignore them.
